Welcome back to school Jackie Robinson families!
Jackie Robinson families I want to take time to thank you for all you do to make sure your child comes to school ready to learn. At Jackie Robinson we have school wide expectations and guidelines for success for all students. Our expectations are for every Jackie Robinson Scholar’s actions to demonstrate being Safe, Respectful and Responsible. We expect our scholars to keep hands and feet to themselves, report problems to an adult, use kind words, use good manners, walk in the halls and classroom, respect others space and maintain personal space. Last quarter we opened the Robinson store as an incentive for scholars who earned five or more points or stars. We will continue with the store but will add a weekly snack chat with the principal and a monthly lunch with the principal for all students who demonstrate superior behavior and academic achievement. Please continue to remind your child to follow the Jackie Robinson Expectations. Ask your child, what are your classroom rules then discuss their understanding of the expectations and rules.
Teachers will be busy assessing students throughout the month of January in Reading and Mathematics using the CPS benchmark assessment Dibels, TRC and Mclass Math for grades K-3. Third graders will also take the NWEA assessment. Parent reports will be sent home in February giving you details about your child’s progress and academic needs.

- 11th LSC Meeting 8:00am
- 12th Longer School Day Community Meeting 5-6pm
- 16th no class M.L. King’s Birthday
- 27th no class End of Quarter Staff Only Day
